1952 Parkhurst Gordie Howe #88

Great image of Gordie. Card has very nice appeal. Centering is just good enough to me interested and the big flaw here is the top left corner which keeps this one from a higher grade.

This gets into the top level for me as the flaws are just what really do not bother me at all as a collector.

Corner wear that spills into the borders and the discoloring (probably from aging) hurts. But the nice size borders frames the card well and the centering is good for me. The colors and image are nothing special

Such a beautiful looking card. A touch off-centered L/R and some surface wear on the top left border. The issues hold it back a bit but the card presents so well.

Obvious corners but clean & well framed

Great eye appeal driven by centering and image. That blemish in the top left corner is the flaw that has some volume, with corners a distant second concern to me.
