1953 Topps Satchell Paige #220

Great looking copy just some PD and rough edges bringing it down

My eye sees some tilt with the centering but no enough tilt to downgrade the eye-appeal very much. The left border damage is noticeable but not what I would call a major flaw. My eye is also drawn to the neck area where it appears to be paper loss potentially but once again not a major detractor. The red name plate area is solid but does have some chipping and minor pd. Just a few too many minor flaws to reach the A tier. Nice card even with the flaws.

Outstanding color on this one

The centering and edge/corner wear make less impact on eye appeal than I'm sure they do on the number grade. That central image is clean and clear.

The colors and image carry the card and really make it Pop. The hold down is the red box damage and the border wear

Some minor edge wear. Centering shifted to the top. Excellent color.

The card has strong centering and great color. Some edge wear is visible with some whitening on the red.
