Wow. I like this copy a great deal. That paper scuff or added paper on the left of the J in JACKIE does not bother me too much, nor does the background noise in the yellow and black. They dampen but not enough to leave the top level badges. The centering, color, sharpness, it all works.
Jackie's face is almost perfect, but the card's issues worsen as you move away from the center.
Registration is a bit off. Horizontal print line through the cap. Some surface wear on the right side in the black on the bottom
Great centering and decent corners. Surface wear and marks hold this grade back.
Nicely centered with initial look. The big distraction is the black surrounding his name along with a subtle registration issue due the brim of the cap showing light pink.
Normally the print defects and surface issues would drop this to a B tier or lower for me, but the image looks great, color is good, and the centering is almost perfect, which is tough to find on this card.
This is a copy I would put in my collection. Centering, image focus, corners, and edges are all top tier. The surface obviously impacts eye appeal. I suspect we'll see a very high EyeQ+ here when the dust settles!
nice looking card held back but the surface wear. Like the border size and centering and the blue is really strong. But the surface especially in the yellow and in the name box distracts the eye and also holds back the overall appeal

A very nice 49 Leaf Jackie - print color and saturation are awesome and his beautiful Dodger Blue hat really pops off that bright yellow background. Thatβs what I love in vintage cards - that beautiful vintage color pop. That plus the centering, edges, corners are enough to sneak it into A tier to my eye even with the print/surface issue in the nameplate. Nice card!
