Clean card with a clear image. Centering is a little off but not bad. That and a couple minor print defects keep this just below A tier.
Centering and PD take away from strong color and crisp borders a bit.
Centering and PDs on the black border place this squarely in the B zone for me.
Torn between B and B+ on this Mathews. Certainly good eye appeal, and it just comes down to how much the pesky print dots and centering affect the overall aesthetic. Using my "step back" and take the card in approach, I think the clean image and borders result in the higher of the two options.
Solid mid-tier eye appeal. The main image is great. Centering and some fish eyes in the black border are the dampening factors.
My cycloptic eye detects good eye appeal driven by a clean, focused image with no loud distractions. Well preserved borders free of toning as well. Overall eye appeal nearly gains entry into the A-Tier, with centering being the one flaw that makes an impact. The minor white dots around the black frame line are a common feature of the 53B set, and they don't reach the threshold on this Mathews where my eye assigns them weight.
Nice looking card and has some nice eye appeal. The colors and image are nice and borders are clean. The centering opportunity and the surface wear on the card hold it back

Bright borders with minimal corner wear. Some very minor print issues. The red fish-eye is found on every PSA 9 I looked at so not going to factor that in. Small minor print issues and the Centering is decent but just enough off to keep it from a higher grade.
