1954 Bowman Willie Mays #89

One of my favorite 1950s Topps sets. Beautiful example. For me, it's really just the centering that holds it back slightly.

My gut reaction is top tier badge worthy and on a closer and longer look, of course there are flaws, but nothing major enough to leave the A- badge.

The wear is diffuse and the overall look is A Tier level to me. Centering is very strong, not perfect. Some surface wear but like all the flaws here it is mild.

Well-centered but has some surface issues. Still an excellent looking image.

Nice card with good image and colors and nice size borders but centering slightly off and some surface wear holds it from greatness

Nice first impression on the 54 "Say Hey". Has A tier appeal coming out of the blocks. Slight tilt at the top border is noticeable but does not alter the overall appeal of the is card. Corner wear is there but not overly distracting. I would certainly entertain adding this Wille to my collection.

Hell yeah. The only flaw that has weight to me here is top/bottom centering. I would not feel a need to improve the corners here.
