My eye is immediately drawn to the heavy top border. Coupled with some light snow and pd in nameplate (Pirate) . Corners standout on this card as they look great and the borders are bright. Would grade higher with better centering.
Good eye appeal, with strong corners and edges that please the eye right off the bat. Centering is just a touch low, yet not a huge deal on this card to me. The surface between his neck and the batting image alongside lower right edge wear and stray ink in the team name make impact.
Hard to find a 55' this nice. Sure there are some blemishes/specks near the right of the head shot and centering slightly off, but overall has minimal impact. Love the green background and the old school pirate logo. Great find from this set.
Some white specks in the middle of the card by the collar. Centering is shifted a bit to the bottom left. Image and colors are on point.
Solid-looking copy here, with the centering being the biggest area for improvement for me.
really like the look of this card with solid colors and image. Centering is an opportunity and minor surface holds it back

I am pretty impressed with how this card gets me to look past its flaws. At first blush I saw the centering and thought B+. Usually on a longer look, flaws bring the eye appeal down. Here it was the opposite!
