The first thing I look for in an ‘86 fleer MJ is centering and this one is dead nuts. With arguably the best image on a sports card ever, the eye goes there next and there is some scuffing or something going on but nothing to detract from a top tier specimen.
The centering is close enough for me and I am a sucker for this card when all the colored parts of the edges are this smooth and crisp. There is something going on surface wise but whateber it is does not bother my eye at all.
A little bit of side centering is all that keeps this from an even higher eye appeal badge.
Lands in the highest eye appeal tier. A hair of centering shift and mild surface snow are the only dampening factors for my taste.
From afar the card looks super sweet. From the sharp colors to the nice centering(but it is off L/R but not dramatically). But as you look closer the edges show white from handling in many places. Subtle but noticeable. The surface wear is what hurts the card. As you get closer you see why to much and lines etc and it is to much to truly enjoy it. But you can enjoy it just what could have been

My cycloptic eye is most pleased with this Jordan rookie. Centering is the chief flaw, which is logged with weight.
