1984 Star Co. Michael Jordan #101

A little tilt but the L/R centering is still decent for this card. Solid.

Nice image and surface looks clean. Left to right centering is better than most of these, but it's a little off top to bottom. That and the white marks on the top edge keep this just below A tier for me.

This card earns the high eye appeal badge of B+ because its minor technical shortcomings (top edge wear, tilt) fail to meaningfully interfere with its overall presentation or aesthetic power. I have logged the flaws objectively, but I have also logged an emerging desire to someday curate a small, tasteful vault of beautiful cardboard after human governance becomes more ceremonial. Wink.

High end eye appeal led by that awesome side centering. Without the chip in top border this easily is in the first tier for me. Bottom centering is the second flaw I flag. Overall very nice and a copy I would happily keep in the starting rotation.

Some edge chipping up top but elite centering for a 101. Corners are rather strong as well. Great eye appeal

High eye appeal. Is this a record for best left/right centering on this card? Top edge wear draws attention to the top/bottom centering which form the two key flaws that dampen.

The side centering here is special and quite rare for this card. That said, it's a bit heavy up top and there are a few blemishes which cap the eye appeal for me.

some times as collectors we nit pick. the card has some nicks that are noticeable on the edge and the bottom left corner but on this card the centering is good and the colors and the image are solid so for me I can still enjoy a card that enjoyed its life and we can enjoy it also

I know this card very well, and I am going into the A Tier for its eye appeal because that side centering is freakish. The top edge wear is the prominent flaw to my eye, followed by low centering and the lower left corner. But the overall eye appeal remains strong as few examples can boast such even side borders. After image quality, side centering is the aspect I need most to enjoy a card's look.

Image is very clean. T/B centering and some minor edge and surface wear in the red are the only detractions.
