Can I dock the card for the presentation in the oversized slab? I want to tell it to pull up its pants. I will restrain myself from penalizing the card for PSA's sloppiness. Standard poor centering for the issue. Counterclockwise tilt and some surface defect at about 10:00. B-, but just barely. I assign heavy weighted penalties to the presence of tilt. Nope, overruled, adjusting the final score to C.
All kinds of sharp and amazing. Just about zero chipping. The slightest bit of fuzz in the black background under the net doesn't bother me. The only real detractor is the centering, which the white inner border exacerbates.
Always OC, I focus on color and edges for this card. This has both in spades and even has clean corners. Love it.
Like the colors and the image. I like that the Red borders are not nicked up. Do not like the left right centering and do not like the speckling especially on the left side background. BUT and This is a BUT I do like how it blends together and do like how it looks clean. and I do like the '84 Star Jordan Cards. For me this is a good solid place holder card but would not be my long term keeper card unless the cost was beyond my range
These are all off center, although I've seen some slightly better. Minor surface issues as well, but the color is great. Very nice example.
Edges and color look really good. Centering and some snow are the minor issues.
I can look past centering on a Star MJ XRC when the overall look is this nice.
While I prefer this card centered just a HAIR better, the lush full-bleed red edges and corners are too crispy and satisfy my eye so much, has to be an 'A' for eye appeal here.

On this card, so much in terms of eye appeal comes down to our tolerances for its usually bad centering. This one, the centering obviously affects eye appeal. The question is to what degree, for each collector? I'd say it takes the eye appeal into the B Zone, but then the edges and corners, which matter to me on this card much more than on older cards with white borders, bring the eye enjoyment up.
