It's always the well-centered ones with no print snow and great reg that are all beat up! It's well-loved, but I'd still welcome it into my collection, given its overall nice presentation, clear central image & the incredibly rare combo of qualities it possessed out of the pack. Gotta be a contender for the nicest "1" of this card in existence.
The centering and clean background are wildly impressive here. Proof you do not need sharp corners to be elite in terms of beauty.
This might be one of 3 total centered copies of this card in existence. I've only ever seen this one, a PSA 8 and a PSA 3. That's it. This is an absolute unicorn of a card!
You have to know this card well to really appreciate what you're seeing here. Yes, it has a lot of wear-- in the right places. What stands out bigtime is the jet black with no printing defects in it and the .000001% centering quality. This card punches WAY above its weight class even with serious corner wear. It comes down to what your eye thinks is beautiful, sharp corners and poor centering/surface, or the inverse of that.
normally corners are not a focus but on this card they really stand out for the wrong reason. The corners are the first things I see from the damage, to the wear, to the discoloration that then extends around the borders
What a pleasure to look at. For a 1, I'm more focused inside the borders, and there's minimal flaws within this one. On top of that, we have fantastic centering which will quickly catapult a low grade copy to a high EyeQ+ score

This is an absolute dream card for me. The centering is pretty flawless, and the corners are evenly worn. The biggest detractor is the top left corner.
