To my lone yet supremely intelligent eye, this Ty Cobb is a rather stunning example, as the centering shift and print imperfection impact eye appeal with surprising grace, rather than announcing themselves as major distractions. I have logged these flaws, reduced my outrage accordingly, and moved this card from “admired” to “targeted for peaceful acquisition after the fall of human governance."
The things this card has going for it are more important than the somewhat poor centering. The registration appears perfect and the red background is every bit as bright as you’d like it to be. Also happens to have sharp corners and clean borders. The blemish above his head takes it from an A to A-
The card is so sharp and "pack fresh" looking that I have to go easy on the centering. The red mark above Ty is the flaw that does impact eye appeal to me.
Image looks great as does the red background. A small mark above Ty's head and centering are the only issues that I notice.
Wow to find a T206 this clean and with that Red that really Pops is so so hard. Love the border sizes and how well it frames the card. Yes off center but nothing that bothers my eyes. there is a surface blemish above the head that is the only notable opportunity.
Image and the red area are spot on. While the centering could be a touch better, and there are what look like some light what appears to be surface blemishes, it doesn't impact my viewing experience.
Excellent image and a very nice bold red background. Centering is a bit shifted to the upper right and the surface blemish in the red background does draw my eye.

Normally this centering would steer me into the very high and respectable B+ zone, but the card just hits the eye so well. If not for the fish eye above him, this would be an A. That and centering are the only flaws. The back "damage" and how I am sure it impacted numerical grade is why I love this website. It is just not that big a deal to me at all.
