1939 Play Ball Ted Williams #92

Excellent centering. That stain on the card is well placed, it almost looks like it's just kn his uniform. Minor corner wear is the only other issue.

Wow! The centering on this Williams rookie is ruler perfect. The image carries really appealing contrast, with deep black and brighter grays. I like how the seats in the background are not blurry like you see on many of these issues. Holding it back from an even higher grade for me are softer corners and an apparent stain on Ted's jersey. Great example!

For me, the thick borders really drive the eye appeal on this copy. The image also looks great. Nice card.

This works for me, plain and simple. The image/contrast are great and the framing is near perfection. Nothing nags my eye at all. I barely notice a spot in the folds of his jersey that might hammer a number grade but in the real world in my case, giant shrug.

Pluses far outweigh the minuses in this teddy ballgame. Big props to the image clarity and centering.

My kind of card and have been on the hunt for one just like this. Great centering and contrasy. Wear that I acknowledge but does not distract or bother me-- so it would be welcome as its only impact is the good kind on my wallet!

look and feel of a vintage photo and the borders frame it well. Discoloring is like Patina and enhance the look of the card. One major stain just below his arm pit holds it back with surface wear that blends in well
