1955 Topps "sandy" Koufax #123

The only thing that held this back from God Tier was the left to right centering and on this card that was a Nit Pick. This is a great looking card with really nice and strong colors and image. I especially love how clean and brigh the borders are

The surface is clean and vibrant, with print registration that holds together well though not immaculate. Roller marks near the secondary image by his shoulder and just left of the cap are the lone distractions in an otherwise polished presentation. Corners and edges read crisp, free of the wear that so often robs this issue of its presence. Horizontal centering leans off, while the vertical alignment holds true and steady. The result is a card of strong visual appeal… had the left-right centering been sharper, it could step into the realm of the extraordinary. As it stands, this is a confident A grade example.
