Surface mark near the eye and top to bottom Centering holds this back, but at first glance it presents really well.
Beautifully focused example. Small vertical print line through the eyebrow and a bit of tilt are the only nitpicks.
Centering is almost perfect and the color looks great. There is a small mark by his eye.
This 1949 Bowman presents itself with remarkable vibrancy, the orange background glowing against the deep, vivid blue. The print registration is precise, allowing the portrait to stand cleanly, with centering that is almost unheard of for this issue. A faint imperfection near the eyebrow is the only detraction, but it hardly interrupts the overall presentation. In every other respect, this is a superb example of the set, boasting exceptional balance and undeniable eye appeal. Some examples that I’ve compared this to have a little too much color saturation. This one seems about right.
Very nice card and nice image and colors. Does not POP as much as I have seen others of this card but very clean and nice borders but would like it brighter
Nice clarity in Campy’s face but the application of the blue tint is off register (the easiest way to tell on this card is when the blue jersey lines extend above the shoulders into the orange background). Setting aside the registration issue, this is a very solid example.

This is as beautiful a card as I’ve seen in quite some time
