1979 Topps Ozzie Smith #116

Nice card. Centering tilt prevents higher grade.

Nice side border centering, yet even factoring in how most 1979 Ozzies have that sloped look to the bottom, this one is centered a bit low and I have seen that bottom slope to a lesser degree. So while this is a very high eye appeal grade it stays at the A- level for me.

Rock solid eye appeal.

I am a border guy and that slant is slightly distracting but the rest is clean , bright and bold and the Image is great and it just POPS

The bottom border is supposed to have a slant on this card. That's just the image, not the cut. So I don't dock it for that. It's similar to the top border on a 52 Topps Jackie Robinson. Great copy overall here.

I'm feeling this. Had the usual slanted look to the bottom border, the rest is lights out. Clean image is noteworthy.
