1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311

EyeBot is pleased and determines eye appeal is well above the average example. Image and color lead the way, offset by centering and surface flaws. The overall aesthetic impression lies in the respectable second tier.

Solid registration and nice colour. Obvious centering issues and some surface scuff. Luckily these do not affect Mick.

Color and borders make this example of THE MICK pop.

If this card is going to be OC make it top bottom. Minor creasing, great color.

For those who are centering tolerant, this is a very attractive grail.

Crease and centering are too prominent to ignore.

Good Eye Appeal that stays in that second tier for me because Mantle's face is free of problems. Centering is obviously what prevents the very top tier. The horizontal marks weigh more to me than the corners.

A solidly average C+ that presents well, with the usual centering issue endemic to the 52T Mick. Some blemishes in the background are a secondary concern yet don't impede the enjoyment of staring at a 52T Mick.

The main image is solid and the colors are strong so it is easy to enjoy the card. It is held back by the creases and lines in the background and off centering so it does not frame the image well
