1952 Topps Mickey Mantle #311

Ouch. This one was born diamond cut, and life hasn't been easy for it ever since.

It has character, just not eye appeal.

As close to a failure as possible due to the creases and stains, but there is some appeal here in the image.

Too much creasing and damage to have any eye appeal.

Just too much damage to his face to call it any prettier than D-.

Looking at this card would be like staring at my car with a massive scratch running down the side—every time I see it, my stomach turns. It’s the kind of flaw that overshadows everything else, no matter how nice the rest might be. If this were mine, I wouldn’t even want to display it, let alone take it out of the safe. It’s a piece you’d hide away, not proudly show off.

water stainage or discoloration, extreme spider webs and creass, and the corner wear/damage. Does not have the look that appeals to me
