1963 Topps Mickey Mantle #200

Nice image of the Mick. Sharp corners and relatively clean card. Holding it back are slight off center, registration in the nameplate and surface mark in the oval image. Yet it is not hard to focus on the facial image and wonder what he's thinking.

This is the toughest A+ I've had to give. I had my finger on the GT trigger but the black line in the Mick bubble and a touch of blur on "Mantle" held this to A+. An insanely strong example of a very tough card.

Centered & pack fresh

The green name box is virtually flawless. Strong centering and beautiful image.

This is one of the nicer 63 Micks I think we'll see. Kudos to the green being 99.9% perfect. The centering is nearly perfection, as the side borders have a bit of sway favoring the right side, when the eye compares their thickness at the top. The blue circle has a mild registration shift and print line. These flaws add up to very little, as overall eye appeal to me remains squarely in the A band.

Card looks really good with nice image and the colors. The border size are nice, slightly off center but overall looking good. subtle speckling in the green but blends in. Just a card to cherish
