1972 Topps Johnny Bench #434

I have Bench's regular season card from this set and know how hard it is to find one centered and this is about as good as it gets. One of the classic images from the set along with Clemente's. Great find.

Look at the Little General In Action! About as well centered as you will ever find a 72. The card rises to A tier for me, but appears a bit toned/dull, missing that beautiful "vintage pop" from the inks that I love/look for. That plus a little bit of PD/stray print on and aroun Bench's face hold it back just a tad for me.

Hard to spot any serious flaws here. Great image and an eye appealing beauty

I love when I come across a card here that makes me think, "I should get one of these!" 72 is one of my top sets of that decade. Nothing bugs my eye here, great looking Bench.

EyeBot finds the flaws of corner wear and lateral centering to be of minimal consequence to visual appeal. Well chosen, my human friend.

The card does not Pop but the card presents well. The colors and image are good and the borders appear clean and the centering is good
