The front looks nicer when compared to the back β to have that kind of damage and still have a nice front is great.
There are certain things in life that must look great from the back. A pre war sportscard is not one of them. The front is simply too stunning to care about the reverse side.
This is my EyeQ dream type of card. Please tell me the silly, arbitrary old rules caused a 1 or 2 number grade on this beauty because of the back! Excited to see the slab reveal because the front is just natural wear from GT to my eye.
Incredible for pre 1900. Staining on back doesnβt detract too much.
This example comfortably reaches the Top Tier of eye appeal, though I do detect corner wear and damage on the reverse. Those issues matter some, but not enough to keep my cycloptic eye from remaining fixed primarily on the image rather than the distractions behind it and at the extreme perimeter.
I am not a back of card person but i look and as long as not extreme it does not bother me. The back of this card is more stained than I like. The front of the card presents well
Incredible detail for a card this old. Some staining on the back, but for me the front presents really well.
A great case of damage in a location that does not bother me in the slightest bit as a collector. The main event here is the subject image and nothing bumps my eye there. Much rather have the back damage than a stain or crease on the player's face. Honest corner wear, as the saying goes, is noted. My kind of card!

I see the back, I just don't really care much about it. Would not bother me. The front is dynamite and the design handles corner wear very well.
