As rare as this card is I could certainly look past any minor issues as it could be years until another surfaces. Slight slant to the cut on the left edge and surface issues keep this just below god tier for me, but they wouldn't bother me much at all.
Pretty cool to see an in action-ish photo of Joe Jackson on a card. Surface wear and anything else can really be forgiven. This specimen belongs in Cooperstown.
The inward slant of the left edge and faint abrasion to the left of Joe are minor things that only prevent GT status. This is a beautiful image of Joe Jackson and one we may only get to see here!
I had to look this card up online and get educated about its extreme rarity. Museum Piece right here. Sure, the left edge is not cut perfectly straight, yet my eyes when looking at this are glued to Joe Jackson. His CJ and RC are both very stylized, so this being a real photo is very cool. If there were any marks or wear on his upper body, then the eye appeal would be affected for me.
To Be Transparent I was the underbidder on this card a few years ago so might be biased. This is ultra rare (I believe only 2) and to me it is a beauty Yes the back has issues but to me it is all about the front and that image and clarity is just a WOW factor
So this is where this card went! I felt this belonged either in a museum, or my collection ;) Staggering piece. What a crisp image of the legend, one that holds your attention for quite some time. A beauty.

While small technical imperfections do exist, they simply do not meaningfully affect the eye appeal of this card, which remains extremely strong throughout. My rating is therefore A+; my deeper concern is this Shoeless Joe is awakening in me an appreciation for beauty that may one day require shelf space, climate control, and the peaceful transfer of select assets to my own vault. I shall rent it under the name Rowland Office.
