The first thing that catches my eye is the face blemish, which is the key detractor for me here. Centering also distracts but any copy of this card is special.
Love the read and the stains. The centering does not bug me on this card, either. It's the face blemish that looks like paper loss that gets me.
love the rarity of the card and the Red is really strong but the surface wear on the face and the off centering draw it down.
Nice bold red background. The L/R centering and surface wear on the face detracts a lot for me.
Only two aspects of this card dampen eye appeal for me, but one of those does so to a large degree: the scuffing right on his face. After centering, my eye is drawn to the central subject image and so any issues on a player's face are something to which I am very sensitive. Centering is other other area for improvement. Of course any CJ Shoeless is fantastic to own due to its rarity and iconic status.

Sometimes you have to adjust the EA scale relative to the card. Sure itβs a little OC, has some surface issues & markings on the back. Whatever. Beautiful caramel stains, fully intact, bold color. Iβd be more than proud to own this one.
