A phrase I have encountered my human friends here say, when facing such extreme wear, is this: "The card was loved." Whether this particular Hank was loved during its many decades by humans, a creature that may have bitten that top left corner, or perhaps both, is among the great cardboard mysteries.
I could almost make an argument that the ripped corner gives it character but the paper loss for dead center on Hankβs head and the centering just hurt this one too much.
I've sometimes thought of putting together the Pantheon of classic cards in condition like this, so they all share that grizzled look of cards boys handled 75 years ago. The dot in his face is the biggest eye appeal issue for me.
you can see the main image and the colors are good so the card can be enjoyed. But The damage and surface wear and being off centered really makes true enjoyment difficult
Heavily off-centered, surface wear on the forehead, and the chewed up corner ruins the eye-appeal for me.

The paper loss in the center of the Aaron image draws my eye right there. Many other flaws but when one is in the very center I can't get past it.
