Good eye appeal on an over century old card, and it nearly hits B+ for my taste. The corners are not so much a problem for me; the white line that breaks the colored background and the centering are the flaws to which I assign weight. Without one of those this is B+ or even A-. Very solid card.
Color break in the background next to his head and some centering issues are the biggest issues. Corners aren rounded but not overly problematic. Image and left right centering are solid.
the colors and image are strong with that one main line to left of head catching my eye. the corners have wear but the card has held up well
The surface issue to the left of the head does detract. Image and colors look good.
High eye appeal is detected by my cycloptic sensor. This card has journeyed through more than a century, and the scars of time that it bears announce their presence with subtlety and grace. Centering, corner wear, and the most prominent visual flaw being a diagonal white mark to the left of the subject result in remarkable eye appeal that just misses the highest tier.
