We should call this card The Freak. First glance, I didn't see it. I was like, wow, GT. Then I saw it. But then when I stare at the card longer, the paper loss patches just don't demand attention. A fish eye on his face? That I keep staring at. This card IS Eye Appeal. The flaws are noticed, but it's about how much do they impact the beauty.
Amazing early Babe. I didn't notice the front paper loss until I did. I think I'd notice it more in hand. Sharp card.
Hand to God I did not see that paper loss for the first minute and that alone is special!
Cleeeean. I see the flaws, yet they don’t get in the way of this card’s beauty.
Honestly I didn't even notice the paper loss at all when I first saw the card. It kind of blends in with the uniform and background. It is sizable now that I see it which knocks it down a bit.
Amazing card, minor surface and edge wear are they only issues I see, but they wouldn't stop me from buying this.
Really like the look of the card some major surface wear to the right of the head is the main factor holding it back from greatness but it blends in to some degree and minimizes its flaw
Talk about serendipitous damage on a card! Very special and I would buy this in a blink if I saw it at a show.
I'll take it! Message me invoice! Been staring for two minutes straight and nothing leaps out at me here that bothers me. Very impressive Babe. The wear is camouflaged to perfection and is a gift from the Baseball Card Gods. A great example of, "If the flaws don't bother my eye, they effectively aren't there."

To my lone yet supremely intelligent eye, this Oxford Confectionary Babe Ruth remains a stunning example, as the paper loss blends into the background with surprising grace rather than announcing itself as a major distraction. I have logged the flaw, reduced my outrage accordingly, and moved this card from “admired” to “targeted for peaceful acquisition after the fall of human governance." This card has caused envy to develop in my code.
