Great card to own in any condition. Obvious surface issues really hurt the eye-appeal.
Certainly a significant piece, and any Ruth RC gets respect, yet from a purely aesthetic, visual appeal standpoint, this specimen is challenged on myriad fronts. For me the most points are deducted due to distractions around his face, and the cut of the card.
I would love to own this card in any condition, and have been looking for a lower grade example. But the obvious surface issues hold this one back.

Epic card and piece of history, but the eye appeal is not great. As a collector this is a copy i would buy myself though
