Wow! Great card and autograph. Love the ballpoint pen auto and the placement isn't bad as it doesn't disturb the image which presents really well. Surface is free of distraction with corners and frame supporting the picture beautifully. Holding it back from a higher grade is some apparent softness in both the image and auto (maybe just the camera photo?). A card to be proud of!
Tough centering on this one but OC 69 Topps cards do not detract from eye appeal nearly as much as most other cards. Ballpoint auto with “Lew Alcindor” is super rare. Not a standout on eye appeal but certainly unique and rare auto.
When it comes to the card, it is definitely OC with minimal corner wear. Surface is clean and colors are a bit faded. I didn’t even realize it was signed until I zoomed in more which is unfortunate as the auto is lacking. Ball point autos can be great, but this one fails to make a mark.
I don’t care that it’s a little OC. How rare is that signature? There can’t be too many nicer than this one.
A touch out of focus and centering pushed to the right are my main notes.
Monumental piece. As I have often written in reviews within our Signed Vintage Card category, certain historically significant pieces really do transcend eye appeal to some extent. Such is the case here. Signed as "Lew Alcindor" ... wow, this is exceedingly rare; perhaps 2 or 3 exist, to my knowledge. The vintage pen signature is the aesthetic ideal, although the last name is much harder to read. The centering and that last name issue become the only eye appeal dampeners, here.
This card would have been better with out the autograph. The card has centering opportunities and minor surface wear but it presents really nice and the colors are good. The auto is poorly placed and looks like a scribble and is not well seen
A bit off-centered. Signature is a little light. Not crazy about how the auto looks and the placement of it. Colors and image look good.

The "Lew" offsets the off-centering, period. The centering does throw off the eye appeal a bit, but at the same time, staring at that pen Lew auto and an otherwise problem free image is a treat.
