Nice registration and the auto is vintage, yet overall the eye appeal is limited by the centering and way the auto hides in the image.
It's a signed Ted Williams card which is cool, but the auto is hard to read and the card has issues. Off center, staining, and rounded corners all hurt the eye appeal.
Centering is detracting, and unfortunately itโs not supported by the strongest of signatures.
A Color B+ Surface / Registration C+ Center / Cut B- Auto Tough card to place an autograph. Too bad a black ink pen wasnโt used. However, owning a signed 1949 Leaf Ted Williams is def special. Nice top to bottom centering. Left to right centering greatly detracts from having far nicer eye appeal as does the few surfaces scuffs. Registration & color carry this card itself. Really tough to find decent registration + color on 49 Leaf cards & this Ted has both. This is a type 1 Leaf & the cap / head was designed to look like that. The later type 2 version has basically zero cap detail.
Not a card I would grab for my collection, as despite nice registration the overall wear plus the centering results in low eye appeal, for me.
off centered and registration on his hat is a little off but it's a great card.
Do not like the look of the auto on the card. Very light, not legible and blends into the card
Simply a fan of this example with the auto! Rounded corners detract from overall grade but the background color is perfect

Centering is off too much for me and the auto is not showcased as well as others.
