Unique auto compared to most. Would assume this is playing days. Card color is a bit dull, centering good enough. A nice classic copy of a Hank rookie auto
Cool early auto. centering shifted down. Bottom right edge has that common tapered look that many of these have, and which causes a lot of them to get rejected by PSA and SGC. Dirty top. Writing on back
The autograph is to like and almost blends into the card to much. The edges are worn and some discoloration on the top of the car. The overall image of the card subject is strong
I really, really, REALLY like this autograph. And not just because it is clearly playing days. The side centering is nice and if there is ever a card design where top-bottom centering issues are mitigated, it's 1954 Topps. The surface issue at top does not bug me at all. My eye takes in the card and auto interplay happily.
I like the clean front surface and vintage pen auto, but the centering shift to the bottom is very far. There also is writing on the back which detracts from the overall presentation.
